Launch Star Official Rules

First topic message reminder :

General Information

• Launch Star is a weekly 8 player double elimination amiibo tournament that will be held on Mondays.
  
• Send your entries to <launchstaroat@gmail.com>
  
• In your email include your bracket name and the amiibo you sent. If no bracket name is provided we’ll use the default name for your email.
  
• Next Launch Star will be held on the 22nd of January 2018.
  
• Brackets on Challonge
  
  

Important Information

• The max amount of total entrants is 8. (May change to 16 later on.)
  
• Trainers chosen are a first come first serve basis.
  

Reservations

• You may reserve a position for only yourself. To do so, contact me via Discord @LittleFang#8903.
  
• For the reservation to be set, include the character you'll use. This is final and will not be changed for any reason.
  
• The said character's bin must be sent before the day of the tournament. If you fail to do so, the trainer at the top of the waiting list will take your spot.
  
• If there are no available trainers on the waiting list, you will simply be disqualified.
  

 

Entrant Rules

• Trainers are allowed to send up to one amiibo.
  
• Little Mac and Cloud are banned.
  
• Stats should not exceed a sum of 120.
  
• Critical Hit and Explosive Perfect Shield are banned.
  

Match Rules

• 2 stocks, 6 minutes, no items.
  
• Best out of 3 games.
  
• Final Destination on all games.
  
• If the match reaches its time limit, the amiibo with the better percent wins. Sudden Death will play the role in choosing the winner. This is because amiibo experience is decided by the technical winner of the game. Percent lead will only apply to the third game if it reaches time out.
  
• Double elimination bracket.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.

There will be a delay on the doubles tournament next week due to both hosts being away on vacation. The doubles tournament has been moved to the next day along side Vanilla Singles. This also means the due date for entries has moved up one day. We don't know if we'll do Doubles before Vanilla yet but we'll let you know of the final schedule. Thank you for understanding and cooperating.

So no tournament this week?

No, only the doubles tournament will be post-poned until the next day where the vanilla tournament will be held. They'll hopefully be held on the same day unless something that's beyond my control occurs.
