Moving Platforms question and more
3/14/2012, 8:19 am
I have a level editor question that I'm certain I can get answered.
I'm currently making a stage right now and part of it contains some moving platforms. These platforms move up and down, well, they would if I knew how exactly. As of right now I have a SMB1 platform that's set to move up, but that's all it does, is move up and unlike SMB1, it doesn't seem to loop after it goes off screen. Any idea how I can get the platform to either move up and down or to just loop from top to bottom?
Thank you.
P.S. On that same subject, how can I get misc. blocks and other objects to move back and forth aside from the NPC platforms?

Your question is easy to solve.
1.Click on the platform you want
2.Click on the generator sings the screen
3.A window will appear like this:
4.Click No where it appears and then Yes
41.On delay, select the timeout after generating
42.In direction, select which side will generate
43.In effect, select one of the two, warp, which is the normal effect of leaving, and the projectile, it's like a cannon.

Ready! You can also make enemies!

Sweet man, thanks for that!
Now here's another question in relation to movement.
Is it possible to make auto-scrolling stages as the ones seen in SMB3, SMW, and others? If so, how?
