Aye there. I've been wanting to share this and here it is.

As you know, improved escape-ability has taken over the meta. There's not a single high level amiibo who doesn't have it. It's easily the best bonus effect now that critical hit has had its final days. What it does is let your amiibo be basically immune to throws. That's really significant since there're S tiers with intimidating throws such as Ness and Ganondorf.

Right now, the only weakness to quick escape is that it's useless if the player throws right away. Most of us probably already knew that when training on our own. It's a weakness we don't all prepare for.

Now, how can we exploit this weakness?

The method is really simple in fact. What you're going to do is go to Special Smash, choose slow mode with 300% handicap. It doesn't necessarily matter what the stocks and time of the match is so you can do anything you want with that. You'll be mirror matching your amiibo this entire session. When the match begins, play very patiently. This will still remind your amiibo to play defensively. Whenever you get the chance grab your amiibo and immediately use your strongest side throw. This should most likely kill unless you're training someone like Pikachu or Yoshi.

Throwing should be your primal focus when trying to take a stock. When your amiibo grabs you however, mash out of it as fast as you can. If you don't know, "mashing" is simply pressing all of the buttons at a fast speed so that can recover from moves that stun you. Amiibos are automatically programmed to mash at amazing speeds only a computer can achieve. This is why you see them get out of shield breaks at a scary speed.

Don't worry if you can't manage to mash out of your amiibo's grab. Your training will count as long as you win while achieving your primal focus. Hope this helps and I'll see you next time!
