And this is the Holy Trinity of the three rarest amiibos that are impossible to find in stores. What's all the rage about? It's just that THIS is what people are doing with their Marths, Villagers, and Wii Fit Trainers.

I got a Mario, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi amiibo along with Smash. I trained Mario all night last night and I literally cannot beat him. In fact, he's harder to beat than any human player I've faced so far.

Also got Kirby and Pikachu which aren't here yet, and preordered Toon Link.

I have since my last post acquired Pit, Fox, Samus, Marth and Captain Falcon. Not bad so far.

The whole amiibo rarity thing is truly a fantastic ploy on Nintendo's part. Notice how it's only the characters that are not too popular (Little Mac, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Marth) that have limited stock. That's because Nintendo keeps the popular characters in stock (Mario, Pikachu, Link, etc). While this seems like it's obvious, you have to remember one thing.

When an amiibo is discontinued, demand rises no matter who it was for. Prices start skyrocketing if any amiibo is discontinued. As a matter of fact, people buy up a bunch of rare ones and then resell them for a quick profit. I still haven't got my hands on a Villager amiibo, but basically the rarer an amiibo the higher the demand, allowing unpopular characters to sell better.
