Which logo do you like better?

So, me and Cat are in a bit of a dispute. I like choice #1 better, but he likes choice #2, AKA the current logo. He says "a lot of members hate" choice #1 but I'm not sure that's true.

EDIT: Since the choice #2's font is more well-liked, I now need opinions on the Earth behind it. #1 has a 16-bitish earth while #2 is full-on HD. Take your pick.

I prefer #2 solely because the font is cooler.
