Alright, how's it going people of Clouds Fourm! This is my new member blog on this fourm where I am going to give my honest reviews on awesome games. This week I am going to review a hot game on the market, New Super Mario Bros. U, a really high subject when it comes to the current graphics coming out. Seriously, it is like an explosion of these types of graphics. Also I have herd many great things about this game including an award for the best Wii / WiiU game to come out last year. Because of that I was persuaded to go check out the scene. So fellas, The New Super Mario Brothers U review.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Information: New Super Mario Bros. U is the 2012 Wii U game and the forth installment in the New Super Mario Bros. series of games. This game is about Mario, Luigi, Blue Toad, and Yellow Toad being flung into another region of the Mushroom Kingdom and must travel across this new region to get to Peach's Castle and stop Bowser from completely taking over the whole kingdom. This title is mostly known for it's amazing new graphics and the fact that it is the first WiiU Mario Platformer.
Graphics 10/10: I found that the graphics in this game where outstanding, and overall better then the other installments of the NSMB series. The graphic art is interesting, and definitly more detailed then the other titles graphics. The pallets complamented the background perfectly and definitly helped set the mood of the levels. I even loved the little graphics on the world map that show what the levels going to include. They oviously spend there time on the graphics and it showed. Great job Nintendo!
Creativity 8/10: The creativity of the game I found pretty good, but was not perfect. It had some new features to spice things up, such as the Boost Rush Mode and the Challeges as well as Play With Mii, but some of the games other features where somewhat throwbacks from Super Mario World, such as Torpedo Teds, Bomb Koopas, The world map that is accually a world map (not that I am complaining about that) and the Acorn Mushroom. and how it resembles the cape power up, also baby yoshi's and the moving turn blocks. But there were some creativity in the game such as the moving crystal mechanic and the idols from world 2 and world 5, and don't forget the new things that the mini mushroom can do, but also some of the things used that were "new" were also found in Newer Super Mario Bros and those ideas were released a few years before that game such as the water spouts and the giant world level. Overall I just found that I found that it had some creative ideas but it mostly consitied of throwbacks.
Music 7/10: The music of the game was okay with some originaly composed sound tracks but with only around 11 original songs, the rest were just recycled from New Super Mario Bros Wii. I would have brought this score a little more if they spent a little bit of time of this aspect but, I guess they forgot.
Gameplay 8/10: And now, drumroll please! The gameplay section of the review! One of the most important parts of the review. Overall, for this game, I thought it was great! It featured a good difficulty curve, and nice level design that is perfect for gamers of all kind. The only probelm that I found is the issue of secrets. What I found bad on this note is that you can barely even tell whats a secret and what is not, there is nothing to indicate secrets excepts for a little curve in the tileset but other then that there is nothing else indicating it. In SMW they at least made the levels with secrets different colored but, in this game nope, nothing at all. Infact sometimes, I had to go on the internet to find out the secrets there. But other then that the game was almost when it came to gameplay.
Replay Value 9/10: This factor was great! There was definity enough secrets, levels, and star coins in the game to keep you playing for days. It also has 10 secret levels that you can't play until the game is beaten requireing you to go back to the game and play those levels. It is definity a game that you will replay, gaurenteed.
Overall Score: 84 Excellent

It's a bit late to say now, but I agree with this review 100%. Some of the music was originally composed, but of course, music was reused, which I didn't like. Nice review, though, I'll read them as more are posted.
