Level Forum Rules Empty Level Forum Rules

11/2/2012, 6:49 am
Before posting or commenting on a level, demo or completed episode, remember to follow these rules:

Post in the appropriate forum or sub-forum. If you want to share your complete level, then post it in the general Levels and Completed Episodes forum (where this is), or, if your level is a battle stage, post it in Battle Stages; if you've completed an episode, then post it in Completed Episodes; and if you have a demo for your episode, then post it in Episode Demos. Remember, no incomplete work is allowed here, except in Demos.

Always post a screenshot or video on your level's topic. You can upload a screenshot with a website such as Imgur, Imageshack, or Tinypic. If you don't include a screenshot or video in your topic, then it will be locked by a moderator. Once you private message (PM) said moderator at least one screenshot or video, they will edit it into your post and unlock your thread.

Don't steal others' work. You may only post levels that do not belong to you if the creator gave you permission to post them. You should also credit them in the level's topic (assuming they want it). This goes for graphics as well, give the creator credit. If you got your graphic(s) from the SMBX CGFX Pack, just say that you used graphics from there. I don't blame you for not wanting to credit everyone individually.

Post constructively. Make your reviews more than just a few lines and and at least a little bit detailed. If you praise a level, explain what you like about it. If you criticize it, explain what you didn't like and how the creator can make it better. Don't be too harsh, and don't insult a user personally because you don't like their work.

Do not bump your own thread in order to get more views, downloads, and/or replies. You may only bump your thread (ex. post in it after a long time of it being inactive, "bumping" it back to the top) when you have an update to your level, demo, or episode.

You may double post (i.e. post multiple times consecutively) if you are the thread creator and you have an update to your level. Otherwise, double posting is not permitted.

Thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to PM me.
