Future Tourney Participants (for those without powersaves)

For me, my future participants are;
1v1/Alone: Mii Gunner (INFO: https://cloudforums.forumotion.com/t4505-blakers-amiibo-story)
2v2/2-to-send: MyImmortal & StacheRide

Since I newly got my powersaves like an hour ago, I'm wanting info on how to use it.....
Do I STILL need the gamepad, or does it work without? How do I send? etc.
