What defensive strategys do you use?

Since I'm a 3DS Smasher, I'm limited to the timer method. I just set the match time to 3 minutes and turn the timer item on. It's pretty effective and works quite well.

I normally do 300%, heavy, slow mode Smash, it's much easier to block and punish in that mode.

Normal smash, normal gameplay

I like it natural...

Slow Smash.

the defensive strategy i use for my amiibo is:
1. a duck hunt custom that has easy perfect shield, explosive perfect shield, and improved escapability
2. usually stock(either two or three), but i rarely do time (6 mins)
3. slow smash
4. omega stages that can enable you to wall jump
5. timer method
6. handicap on amiibo 300% (can someone tell me what the benefit for making me have a handicap?)
7. only punish using explosive perfect shield
8. don't jump or use aerials
9. pause repeatedly and if an attack is coming, shield it
and thats how I do it.

I just spam smash attacks on the ground all day long while shielding/evading the attacks of my amiibo. I try to get as many kills off with them to make them believe they have to stay grounded to get kills. Basically, the best way to train an amiibo is to fight them repetitively on the ground until they use it on their own against you to get stocks/wins.
