World Editor Help
2/26/2013, 2:59 am
This will help many users overcome the Run-time Errors experienced in the World Editor. Run-Time Errors in the World Editor are commonly caused by one thing, Scenery. These were originally supposed to be fixed in SMBX 1.4 but, because 1.4 was never completed, the Run-Time Errors remain, due to a graphical glitch in the hardcoded scenery.
Here is a list of Scenery Items that will trigger a Run-Time Error, when replaced:
I thunk these are all of them, unless I forgot to mention one or two. An easy way to avoid this is, is to make the scenery item replace another by renaming it or simply not using it at all. If you still want that particular GFX to be in your World Map then only add them once the Map is finished completely and saved. If you try and save your Map after adding the GFX it will cause the Run-Time Error. If you don;'t know which GFX is causing the error then take note of the error message. It will normally appear as "Control Array Element(eg. 50) does not exist. That number is referring to the GFX. In the example it would be scene-50.
Hope this helps.

scene-3
scene-52
scene-53
scene-63
scene-51
scene-8 (This will only happen ocassionally) I am unsure why it doesn't happen every time.
