Dream Gardens

I've scrapped the "Gadget the Gearoid" concept now that I've made enough progress on a concept I've been developing over the last few months. Basically the custom sprites I've made for PGE, "Gummy" etc. are part of this concept. The new concept is called "Dream Gardens" which ties elements from a few different games (Mario, Kirby, Lolo to name a few).
Story:

- Dream Gardens is a magical realm in the world of a human's imagination, it is a place where dreams and magic are born. Only those with the power to dream can reach this world and those who can, are the protectors of the Dream Gardens. Dream Gardens is ruled by the population of Imagions and is shaped by the human mind.
There is one though, who tries to take it all away, an evil that threatens to destroy the Dream Gardens and poison the human mind to create nothing but nightmares and bring them to life. This evil, is a dream that collapsed when one human mind ceased to believe in the power of Dreams, this evil is known to all Imagions as "Mara".
Mara has shattered the Dream Orb; a collective orb of all Dreams and aspirations and scattered its fragments to the four winds. Each fragment consists of one Dream that has taken on the form of a smaller orb. These orbs have dissipated all across the different worlds of the Dream Gardens and the days are growing darker. Creatures from Mara's world; the world of Nightmares, have begun to invade the Dream Gardens and turn it and it's population into Nightmare Creatures themselves.
Only the pure of mind and heart can defeat Mara and restore Dream Gardens to it's former beauty....

- Bubby: (Mario)
Bubby is our standard Imagion and he is out to stop Mara's conquest.
Roko (Pronounced "Row Ko"): (Luigi)
Roko is Bubby's best friend and has joined him on his quest. Roko can jump higher than Bubby, but he is a little clumbsy and as a result has worse traction than Bubby.
Sasa (Pronounced "Sar Sar"): (Peach)
Presumably Bubby's girlfriend, Sasa has joined the team and has her own abilities. She has a Magic Carpet which she can use to float over large gaps.
Fera: (Toad)
Fera is a special Imagion, one of very few made of Chrome. He can run faster than any other player, but due to the weight of his Chrome exterior he cannot jump as high as everyone else, but under certain conditions he can double jump. Fera is a pun on Ferrous, a type of metal that has iron in it (Ferrous Chrome).
Maxi: (Link)
Maxi is our humble jumbo and is Bubby's other best friend. He can throw his weight around to punch and kick enemies, but due to his size, it takes him a long time to get running. Make sure you have a good run up before jumping pits.
