PLAYABLE Pauline

SUPER PAULINE!


Hello, fellow SMBXers!  I am releasing my finished playable version of Pauline from the DK series!  Pauline was the ORIGINAL First Lady of Nintendo!  And I love Peach, but Pauline always seemed more laid back than her.  So, I figured, it's ABOUT time we get a playable version of her in THE BEST Super Mario Bros. game!

Pauline replaces Link.  I made this decision because I didn't want to just put her over Peach- Pauline really does deserve her own spot, and I wanted to have a few options for female characters.  Pauline uses a DK hammer for attacks, and when she obtains a leaf, she flies through the air in an old school DK barrel.  Also, instead of Rupees, Pauline collects her fashion items- Hat, Purse, Bouquet and Heart.  

She has everything she needs- a Player icon for episodes with a map (it's how she appeared in the GB version of DK).  Also, her Tanooki statue is the version of her Arcade appearance.  My boyfriend suggested that I make the color of her dress different with power-us, but personally, her red dress is too iconic for that (she is listed as the "Lady in Red" back in the day).  I included the file I had been working on, so if you see any changes you want, have at.  She's perfect to me.

That looks cool. Glad to see another playable character, Not to be rude but I am pretty blind so I cant tell if it has 1x1 pixels or not,(not that i care if it does cause I cant really see them lol) it makes me happy people care about making stuff for smbx. anyways nice work.

I like the playable I also love the backgrounds in those screenshots.

 Ah, shucks!  Thank you!  :sunny:Their backgrounds in my SMBX episode I'm working on.  It's going to have a lot... kinda like a 1/2 RPG, if that makes any sense.  Expect to see more dazzling sights and hear some amazing tunes!

I like it too!  Although the background uses 1x1 pixels, I think.

 Thank you!  Believe me, you were definitely not rude.  That was probably the nicest critique I have ever received from the interweb. Lmbo! 

She might have a few blurry pixels... I'm pretty sure her Tanooki statue does.  I was super-zoomed in GIMP to edit the fudge outta the GB pixels.  I had to give her a black outline and those shoes... had to get those shoes just right.  Lol!  By her gold bracelet, she may have a mis-pixel.  I play on a big screen, so my eyes were bleeding by the time I was done making her.  Lol!

EDIT: mario-friend9 is where I got Pauline's head from, but I had to retool everything about it.

hay I Play on a big screen too!! (It helps me see what the heck I'm doing lol) I have some serious eye problems. R-P/stigmatism.
