ADventuresVDO's Top 5: Kirby 64 Bosses
5/3/2013, 8:35 pm
Hey guys, ADventuresVDO here with my first Top 5 list. :L
Today's topic: Kirby 64 Bosses
#5: Whispy Woods
This guy is a very common character, appearing in most kirby games. This boss, originating from the very first kirby game, Kirby's Dreamland, this guy has had many different forms and attacks over the years. But today, this will change, because his attack pattern is much different. In his first form, you have to inhale the apples he drops on you and spit them at the three little saplings on the circular battlefied. After this, he means business, and starts doing things like shooting his roots up from the ground to make a kirby kabob out of you! This unique way of battling the familiar foe can make him seem like a completely different foe!
#4: Waddle Doo
I know you may hate me for this, but hear me out. This guy, who is a possessed waddle dee, is the only "waddle species" enemy in the game, plus he seems like a fun miniboss. Since N-Zs replace Waddle Dee in this game, it seems like a good idea to put in the fact that this guy is in the game at all, considering there is no beam ability. And this guy actually acts more like a mini-boss then in other games, if you can remember his move set.
#3: Pix
Pix is just the sci-fi guy... er, robot, for me! I had a bit of trouble the first few tries, but when I managed to take one pix crystal out, it was SO much easier. This boss is unique, because the arena starts out on an elevator, heading up, and as you are going up, the pix crystals are attacking you, and when you reach the top, you get to fight it for real, with all three attacking you and all you have are copy abilities, copy combos and little cube things to inhale and spit at Pix. A little tough if you try to attack it on the way up though.
#2: 02
Believe it or not, as much as I love this boss, he is not my favorite Kirby 64 boss. This boss is my 2nd favorite because it is fun to battle it every time, and it feels good to kill it while destroying its halo only 2-3 times. The music is great, some of my favorite, and I even sometimes listen to it while making smbx gfx or drawings. I like destroying it's wings so I can fly up and shoot it's halo without having to blind it. But it seems to easy at this point, so he has been moved to #2.
And finally...
#1: Miracle Matter!
Miracle Matter is the toughest boss in the game, in my opinion. he gave me more of a challenge than 02, and I like a good AND FUN challenge! When I fought this guy, I had a lot of fun, and didn't get frustrated at all! He was tough, but not annoying-tough, basically. And the remixed music of the normal boss music is "schweet!" This unique boss is the first AND BEST example of a boss using multiple of Kirby's Copy Abilities, and this thing uses all of them in 64! The only thing I could complain about is it's bomb form. When I fought it, I didn't know what the HECK was up with the bubble thing until I swallowed a purple orb. But other than that, I like how the boss uses the abilities to the MAX, and that is why I put it ahead of 02 and put it in the 1st catagory!
So now you know my Top 5 Kirby 64 bosses, and I hope you join me for another "Top 5!" :D

Murphmario, don't backseat moderate.
N-Zs are substitute enemies in Kirby64. They are basically the game's version of waddle dees.
