R.O.B and his gyro

Has anybody had any success getting R.O.B to consistently launch his gyro because mine's only used it a very small amount of times. Does the A.I. use any of his alts better than the default. Thank you in advanced. (I realized that I had posted this in the wrong area...)

I personally do not own a R.O.B amiibo, though I have heard it is incredibly difficult to teach him to use gyro consistently. It's the same thing with Mario's F.L.U.D.D, he rarely if ever uses it

For most two-part moves, if an amiibo is to use it correctly, then the programmers already hard-coded it into the amiibo AI. ROB, for some reason, doesn't have that programming whereas most other two-part moves do have extra programming to function correctly. Another example of this is Villager and his various two-part moves that he can't properly use; neither ROB nor Villager have the programmed thought process to use those moves.

He'll only properly use a custom gyro.

Slip gyro outta make him use it, it's like a weaker version of timber counter as well, so it's good for him.
Darn, you're making me want to work on my R.O.B. now, lol

Well, after vigorously farming for any of the gyro alts, I finally got fire gyro (but not slip) and he seems to use it more than the default. I'll have to start farming for slip to see if there's any difference.
